Nets favored by 4.5 over Bulls, Clippers favored by 5.5 over Grizzlies
The Brooklyn Nets easily defeated the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, 106-89, by shooting nearly 56 percent from the field and 43 percent from three. The Bulls have always been a defensive minded team, though their lack of point scoring was all too apparent against the red hot Nets.
“The thing is, we’re disappointed. We played poorly and we have to change the mentality. We have to correct the mistakes,” Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. “Brooklyn’s a terrific team. They’ve been playing great down the stretch, they have good momentum going into the playoffs, they’re going to challenge you and we have to be ready to respond.”
However, even though the Nets made quick work of them on Saturday, they know that the Bulls are a tough team that won’t be rolled over so easily.
“I think it’s going to be, it’ll be a war,” Nets coach P.J. Carlesimo. “We got one game, which I’m not making light of at all. It’s extremely significant, but we’ve got to find a way to get three more and I think each game will be different. If we can compete physically and defensively and take care of the ball the way we took care of the ball tonight, then we got a great shot.”
The Nets are 4.5-point favorites in the game tonight, and I think they’ll cover the spread once again. Here are some other gambling trends for both teams heading into tonight’s match, courtesy of OddsShark.com:

Somewhat surprisingly, the Clippers made easy work of the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, too, defeating them 112-91. However, I wouldn’t expect that to happen again; the Grizzlies are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, and should be able to refocus and collect themselves for a big victory here. Take the Griz at +5.5.
