First Game Biggest Obstacle For Boise State
The Boise State Broncos are team that has fell off the radar. Â They are often pegged as a dark-horse team among many analysts to be the elusive team not from a major division to show up in the BCS National Championship game. Â However, this year there has not been too much hype around the Broncos.
There is a good reason that Boise State has hype surrounding its program every year normally. Â They have not lost more than two games in a season since 2007. Â They are consistently the best team in their division and helped put the Mountain West division on the map. Â This year they were ranked No 19 in the opening AP Poll rankings and are the only Mountain West division team featured in the list of contenders for the NCAA BCS Championship at Bovada. Â However, after years of coming up just short they have fallen off most’s radar.
With a handful of new, and potentially great, starters it may not be the best time to count them out.
Boise State has a pretty comfortable schedule on its way to being a Mountain West team in the BCS championship.  There are only a few real roadblocks in the Broncos way.  If they can overcome their first game, they will rise up AP’s  ranks and capture the college sports world’s attention.
The Bronco’s biggest game is, arguably, its opener against Washington. Â Washington is a Pac12, major conference team and the Broncos could make a huge statement if they defeat them in their opener. Â Washington will be facing a Bronco team with some new faces and it is hard to come out of the gate at top form in the first game anyway. Â Keith Price, Washington’s senior QB, has experience on his side and will need to be stopped by Boise State’s drfense. Â The Broncos need the win in this season opener so they do not start off with a blemish on their record that could keep them out of the national title scene for the rest of the season.
