NHL Future Odds
The NHL season is over and the Los Angeles Kings are the Stanley Cup champions.
It was a roller coaster of a playoff, with a lot of forced Game 7s and the Chicago Blackhawks coming very close to winning two straight years, but they fell out during the conference championships leaving the Kings to battle the New York Rangers.
The Los Angeles Kings were dominant in their series with the Rangers, which as caused many in the sports world to begin speculating that the Kings are perhaps in the midst of a dynasty. Of course, they will need to win again for that title to stick.
The odds of the Kings winning again next year in the opening future odds are not bad, though. Â However, the Blackhawks are looking even better.

The biggest surprise on the list is the Boston Bruins, who have the second best odds of winning the cup next year. This is surprising since the only new coming out of Boston’s camp is they will not be resigning their enforcer Shawn Thorton, which implies we have a team in rebuilding mode, not a championship team.
These odds, though, are tough to analyze, especially in hockey, which is easily the most unpredictable sports. That, however, will not stop me from laying my money down early.
