Cardinals, Giants Ready For Game 3 Tomorrow
The NLCS keeps moving forward tomorrow as Game 3 tomorrow at 4 p.m. ET where both the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants will look to gain the upper hand in a series that is currently tied at 1-1.
Game 2 of this series was a nail-biter that came down to the final swing. The Giants had home-field advantage, but Kolten Wong nailed a ninth-inning homer to give St. Louis a 5-4 victory.
The Cardinals will now look for another win in San Francisco. Both teams will be sending ace pitchers to the mound. John Lackey will take the ball for St. Louis, while the Giants will send Tim Hudson to the mound.
Lackey was picked up at the trade deadline form the Boston Red Sox. He has got a Division Series win under his belt and a solid record. Â Lackey is 7-7, though, when not playing at home dating back to his time in Boston.
Tim Hudson had an ugly 1-5 to close the season with a 5.94 ERA. Hudson, though, usually pitches well at home.
Considering the Cardinals narrowly avoided going down 2-0 in the series, one would think that the Giants will get the job done this time, but the Cardinals have shown that they can win in clutch situations.
San Francisco are in deed the favorites with a moneyline of -122. The Cardinals have a +112 moneyline. The total is set at seven runs.
