2017 NFL Props: Passing
The 2017 NFL props are opening up on a variety of subjects, which we have covered some of, today we will be looking at NFL passing bets.
The big prop bet everyone is talking about, aside from OVER/UNDER passing yards, is whether the single season passing and TD record will be broken this year.
Peyton Manning has both the single season passing record and touchdown record with his 2013 season with the Denver Broncos. His number are crazy, including 5,477 passing yards and 55 total TDs.
Drew Brees came pretty close to surpassing Manning in 2016 with 5,208 yards and has led the league in passing since Manning’s record breaking season. The Saints, however, have some new tools to utilize on the ground, namely Adrian Peterson, which could cut into Brees passing yardage this season.
The next two quarterbacks to come close to Brees were 2016 MVP Matt Ryan with 4,944 yards in 2016 and Kirk Cousins who threw for 4,917 yards.
Both the single season yard and TD record are underdogs to be broken this season, as you can see below.
New Single Season Passing Record (Yes +270 / No -330)
New Single Season TD Pass Record ( Yes +1200 / No -2000)
