Alshon Jeffery, Matt Forte Questionable For Bears In Week 11 Against Broncos
The Chicago Bears may be very shorthanded heading into Week 11’s matchup against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The offense could look completely different with quarterback Jay Cutler potentially without his two best offensive weapons in running back Matt Forte and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.
According to Jeff Dickerson of ESPN, Jeffery and Forte are currently listed as questionable against the Broncos.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is questionable for Chicago’s Week 11 matchup versus the Denver Broncos after groin and shoulder injuries kept Jeffery off the practice field for a second consecutive day.
The Broncos are arguably one of the best teams in the AFC this season. Denver’s defense has led the way while Peyton Manning continues to show signs of slowing down and may be playing in the final games of his Hall-of-Fame-caliber career in the NFL.
Although the Broncos are 7-2 on the season, Denver has lost two straight and will be without Manning under center this week in Chicago. As a result of Manning’s absence and the team’s recent struggles, the Bears are only +1 point underdogs in Week 11.
This spread is telling considering the fact that both Jeffery and Forte are listed as questionable on the eve of the matchup between these two teams. Sunday’s game will be a true test for backup quarterback Brock Osweiler as the Broncos brass will get a look at what could be the future of the quarterback position in Denver.
Despite Manning set to miss this game against the Bears, the Broncos defense is good enough to propel this team to victory on Sunday. Taking Denver at -1 is the safe bet in Week 11.
