A’s Look To Get A Win Against Braves

The Oakland A’s dropped a game to the Atlanta Braves yesterday during the beginning of a three-game weekend series. Now the Angels are only one game away from taking the top spot in the AL West away from Oakland.

Oakland is looking to bounce back as they send their best pitcher to the mound, Sonny Gray.

Gray started Aug. off with a rough game, but came back big against Kansas City. He pitched for seven innings and only allowed two earned runs. For as well as he has been pitching, Gray has lost his last three game.

Gray is still in beast mode, though. He won six games before this rut and is 12-6 on the season with a 2.86 ERA.

Julio Teheran has had back-to-back poor outings. He allowed the Dodgers to pick up six runs on Monday. It was the same story with the Seattle Mariners before that. He had a 2.69 ERA but after that outing he saw his ERA bounce up to a 3.06. Over five starts he has had a 5.24 ERA. He started with a 2.29 ERA over 18 starts.

The Braves are hoping that Teheran will pull himself out of his rut so he can help them pick up another win against Oakland. The Braves are six games behind the Washington Nationals in the NL East and is looking to gain some ground.

The Braves are the slight favorites to win with a moneyline set at -108. The A’s moneyline is set at -102.
