Bills Sign RB Reggie Bush To One-Year Deal
Reggie Bush is heading to the East Coast to play with the Buffalo Bills for the 2016 NFL season to back up LeSean McCoy.
Jason La Canfora had the scoop first, with NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport confirming the report a few minutes later with these details:
The #Bills are signing RB Reggie Bush to a 1-year, incentive-laden deal, source said. Physical was fine, he'll likely practice tomorrow.

The reason Bush is signing with Buffalo is that the team was dealt a big blow when second-year back Karlos Williams was suspended four games by the NFLfor violating the league’s drug policy. It’s been reported since that Williams is not a lock to make the final roster, though we expect he’ll make the cut.
It’s hard to imagine Bush will make a huge impact for Buffalo.
He’s largely been a disappointment since entering the NFL as a Heisman Trophy-winning back out of USC in 2006.
His best campaigns came during his tenure with the New Orleans Saints. He was heavily utilized as a receiver in Sean Payton’s system.
Bush does have two 1,000-plus yard rushing seasons. Additionally, he was a dynamic return man for much of his career.
That said, Bush’s production has dropped like a rock the past couple of seasons. Appearing in just 16 games from 2014-15 with the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers, Bush rushed for just 325 yards and caught just 44 passes for 272 yards, totaling two touchdowns on offense during this stretch.
Last year, Bush was injured sliding into a wall in St. Louis and never made it back onto the field.
It will be surprising if he ends up making a significant positive difference for the Bills. And, for those who dabble in fantasy football, Bush shouldn’t be on your radar heading into the draft.
