
Bruins Surprise NHL with Shock Win over Rangers

It could not have come at a better time, with Boston battling for a spot in the playoffs. This game could turn the Boston season for the good and give them the confidence they need with just 7 games left on the regular season schedule.
Dennis Seidenberg a defenseman for the Bruins said that it was obvious today that when the team is involved emotionally we all play more on edge.
The Bruins have had perennial success playing the way they did on Saturday, but have not been consistent this season with their play.

Boston played well, but concern took hold when Tuukka Rask the starting goaltender for Boston left the game after just 10 seconds was played in the second period. However, after the game Claude Julien the Boston coach said it was just dehydration.
Rask left with the Bruins to head to Carolina for its Sunday game against the Hurricanes. His coach said he was fine.
After seeing Boston play with such emotion and physicality on Saturday, it makes one wonder why they have not played that that wall all season.
Injuries to key Bruins have been part of the problem, but that should not affect the level at which the team competes.
It was a positive sign that many of the Bruins finally showed fight, urgency and toughness, especially when a postseason berth is at stake.
Zdeno Chara the Bruins captain said the team was playing with a great deal of physicality and emotion which it needs to win. The team is not taking needless penalties or ones at the wrong time of games.
However, Boston’s problem this season is inconsistency as they leave a great effort like Saturday and could come out their next game flat.
If Boston is able to earn a spot in the playoffs, they could take on New York in the first round.
With just 7 games left on the regular season, Boston cannot worry about who their first round opponent will be, they need to make sure they are in the playoffs first.
