Bulls Have A Lot To Prove Coming Out Of All-Star Break

The Chicago Bulls held on to the Central Division heading into the All-Star break in the best way possible, by going over the Cleveland Cavilers, the team that is .5 games away from overtaking them.

It was just not a win, it was a Chicago beat down. The Bulls won 113-98 against the team that many believe will stand in the way of Chicago’s run at their first post-Jordan championship.

The Bulls have the fourth best future odds to win the title this year at 8/1.

The Bulls are a young team but the window of winning a championship is quickly closing.

Jimmy Butler will be a restricted free agent in July. Pau Gasol may be playing some of the most productive basketball of his career, but he is also not getting any younger. Joakim Noah is not the most durable of superstars same can be said of 26-year-old Derrick Rose.

Despite adding talent, the Bulls’ defense has taken a hit this season. Once the most feared and statistically best defenses in the league, they now sit at 13th in points allowed.

Do not let all this nay-saying confuse you, though. The Bulls are contenders and proved they can beat anybody with their stomping of the Cavs.

The Bulls’ eye are on the prize for this year, but a lot stands in their way from both internal and external forces.
