Carolina Unbeaten Record on the Line against New York Giants

The NFL season is winding to a close with playoff implications in many of the games in Week 15. One such game features the undefeated Carolina Panthers visiting the New York Giants.

The current line has Carolina favored by 4 points with the over/under point total on 48.

Entering this game, Carolina has an overall record on the season of 13-0 straight up and 10-3 against the spread. The Panthers on the road are 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS. New York on the season is 6-7 SU and 7-5 ATS. The Giants at home are 3-3 SU and ATS.

Carolina enters this game having won 17 straight regular season game dating back to last season. The Giants look to give the Panthers their first loss in more than year in the regular season and keep pace with Washington and Philadelphia in the race for the NFL East title.

With three more wins, Carolina can join the Miami Dolphins of 1972 and the New England Patriots of 2007 as the only team to complete a regular season undefeated. The Giants beat New England in the Super Bowl to end the Patriots hopes of a perfect record back in 2007.

Carolina has already clinched the title in the NFC South and has a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The top seed in the conference can be clinched on Sunday with a victory and a loss by Arizona.

Jonathan Stewart the workhorse running back for Carolina will miss the game due to a foot injury suffered in the Panthers 38-0 rout of Atlanta.

The Panthers are No. 2 in the league in rushing and Stewart’s absence will be a big blow to the offense. However, the Carolina defense will help offset the loss of Stewart on offense. Last week the Panthers defense forced Atlanta to turn the ball over four times.

New York defeated Miami last week 31-24 to halt a losing streak of three games. Eli Manning enjoyed his best game of this season throwing for 337 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Carolina leads the league with 21 interceptions and takeaways with 33.

Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has 100 yards or more receiving in six consecutive games.

Prediction: The Carolina Panthers are far superior to the New York Giants on both sides of the ball. The offense is multi-dimensional while the defense can stop both the run and pass. New York will find it difficult to mount any sustained drives. Carolina covers this easily.
