Kansas City Chiefs are suddenly Super Bowl favorites
The Kansas City Chiefs greatly bolstered their defense by trading with the Seattle Seahawks for defensive end Frank Clark. The trade can be viewed as a huge positive for Kansas City. As a result, the team is now heavily projected to win the next Super Bowl.
This per SportsLine analysis via CBS Sports:
According to Stephen Oh over at SportsLine, the addition of Clark improves the Chiefs’ changes of winning the Super Bowl by 3.2 percent. Before the deal, the Chiefs had the fourth-best odds of winning the Super Bowl. However, with Clark now on the team, the Chiefs are now being given an 18.8 percent chance to win the Lombardi Trophy, which is the highest number in the NFL (Saints, Patriots and Rams all rank just behind the Chiefs).
While the Kansas City Chiefs offense was the highest-scoring last year, its defense was its weak link. This defense gave up an average of 405.5 yards per game, the second-most in the league in 2018.
Clark is a difference maker on this front, which is why it’s no surprise that Seattle demanded such steep return for the trade to KC.

Last year Clark had 13 sacks and 41 combined tackles for the Seahawks and brought in his first career interception. At just 25 years old, Clark should also continue to provide exceptional value to the Kansas City Chiefs for years to come.
