Chris Carson Impressing for Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson has drawn praise from All-Pro middle linebacker Bobby Wagner this offseason.

Chris Carson, the 2017 seventh-round pick, missed his entire rookie season with a fractured leg. He has been rehabbing and has come into the spotlight since the injury to Rashaad Penny.

Penny is known to have high potential by the Seahawks, but they hadn’t forgotten about Chris Carson. Carson has already got coach Pete Carroll’s blessing, and it looks like he’s in the running to start Week 1.

Bobby Wagner described Carson’s performances in training camp and preseason as ‘very impressive’.

“There’s a difference when Chris Carson runs the ball,” Wagner said.

“He just stands out to me. Every time you watch film, whether it’s him out of the backfield or running the ball, he stands out to me.

“I felt like we kind of got a glimpse of that last year; unfortunately he got hurt. So I’m excited to see how that looks 16 games. He looks really, really strong and he looks like he’s on a mission.”
