Clippers Look For Second Straight Win over Thunder

A Western Conference showdown between the Los Angeles Clippers and the host Oklahoma City Thunder headlines the NBA calendar for Wednesday night. The current line has Oklahoma City favored by 5.5 points with the over/under point total sitting at 215.

Entering this game, Oklahoma City has an overall record of 41-21 straight up and 31-28 against the spread. On the road, the Clippers are 20-10 SU and 16-12 ATS.

Oklahoma City on the season has a record of 43-20 SU and 25-37 ATS. At home, the Thunder is 25-8 SU and 15-17 ATS.

The Thunder has not forgotten about blowing a lead of 22 points last week against the Clippers. Oklahoma City will look to avenge that 103-98 loss on the road by winning at home. Los Angeles outscored the Thunder 26-5 to end the game and have now won four of their past five overall.

The Clippers have also won 14 of their past 17 games on the road including a road win on Monday by 19 points over Dallas. Oklahoma City has been struggling lately losing six of its past nine games. However, with the likes of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook the Thunder can score with anyone.

DeAndre Jordan scored 23 points while grabbing 20 rebounds for the Clippers in Monday’s win over Dallas. Chris Paul the Clippers star point guard had 27 points versus Dallas.

Westbrook, the Thunder’s start point guard, scored 15 points, handed out 11 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds on Sunday in the Thunder’s victory over Milwaukee. It was the 10th time this season Westbrook has had a triple-double.

The Thunder is 10-0 when Westbrook records a triple-double this season and 25-4 over the 29 times he has had a triple double during his career.

Durant has scored 30 points or more in five of his past six games with six straight double-doubles.

Westbrook has averaged 28.5 points per game in two games this season against the Clippers of which each team has won one.

Enes Kanter the backup center for Oklahoma City scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebound against Milwaukee.

Los Angeles forward Jeff Green was held scoreless in his 21 minutes played against Dallas, which is the second time in his past three games he has not scored.

Prediction: The Clippers have played well for the past two months. Oklahoma City has struggled at times and even though they are home, the Thunder will have a hard defensively against the Clippers. Lean toward LA in this one.
