Retired NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. has walked away from some scary crashes during his career, but the plane crash he and his family survived on Thursday is even scarier.
The crash occurred at the Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Tennessee, which is near the North Carolina border on the state’s eastern side.
ABC News released video from the scene showing the wreckage of the small plane crash right near a road. Dale Jr., his wife and 1-year-old daughter were on the plane, fortunately, there were no serious injuries.
According to the FAA, the plane rolled off the end of the runway in the afternoon before catching fire.
While the plane was wrecked and smoke filled the air, miraculously, everyone walked away with only cuts and scrapes.
