Eli Manning’s starting job in jeopardy
It’s been a disastrous season for the New York Giants. Following a blowout loss against the Los Angeles Rams to move New York to 1-7, coach Ben McAdoo seemed to imply that Eli Manning may be benched.
In his post game press conference, McAdoo made it known that all jobs are on the line, including Manning’s.
Ben McAdoo just opened the door for the Giants possibly switching to QB Davis Webb in the second half of the season.

Based on his performance, it’s hard to argue with this. Manning is far from the only Giant who’s struggled this year. Still, his overall numbers (63.2 completion percentage, 1,820 yards, 12 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 85.4 passer rating) leave a lot to be desired.
But another quarterback under center would be a unique sight. It’s not something that we’ve seen since Kurt Warner wore a New York uniform.
Manning made his first start in November of 2004. Since then, he’s started 219 consecutive games for the Giants.

Davis Webb was drafted out of Cal in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He’s yet to make his NFL debut.
