ESPN announces revamped MNF crew

ESPN’s Monday Night Football will have an overhauled look in 2018, and the company announced the first assignment for its revamped crew.

According to a press release, the broadcast team of Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, Booger McFarland and Lisa Salters will make their first regular-season appearance on Monday, Sep. 10. The game will feature the Los Angeles Rams and Oakland Raiders.

Yes, the new MNF crew will announce the official return of Jon Gruden — the former analyst for ESPN — to the NFL. He headed to the Raiders after spending nine years with the sports media giant.

Per the release, it’s the first time in 13 years that ESPN’s regular MNF team will call the late game of the Week 1 doubleheader.

Gruden’s replacement in the booth is Witten, the longtime Dallas Cowboys tight end who retired from the league this offseason.
