Falcons WR Julio Jones ‘Not At All’ Satisfied With Impressive Start To The Season
After failing to live up to expectations over the past few seasons, the Atlanta Falcons are off to a hot start heading into Week 4 of the 2015 NFL season. Matt Ryan and company have been firing on cylinders with three straight wins to start the year and wide receiver Julio Jones making a strong case for the distinction as the league’s best wideout.
Although Jones has turned a lot of heads around the league in the first three weeks of the season, the veteran wide receiver isn’t satisfied with his performance. Jones believes he’s left some plays on the field, but feels he’s capable of anything when he’s on the gridiron, via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle:
“No, not at all,†Jones said. “I feel like I can do better. You can never play a perfect game. There’s some calls I haven’t executed properly in the first three games. I have to execute better.
“I feel like I’m capable of doing anything and everything. I just got to come to work every day. The main thing is staying healthy.â€
In three games thus far, Jones has racked up some phenomenal numbers while helping lead the team to a flawless start with a 3-0 record. Jones has caught 34 passes for 440 yards and four touchdowns.
Jones and company will look to keep the team’s win streak alive in Week 4 defending their home field against J.J. Watt’s Houston Texans. Atlanta, as expected, is favored to come out on top in this matchup with a -7 point spread, according to Sportsbook.ag.
The Texans will likely put up a fight with their defense attempting to keep Houston above water in this game, but ultimately the Falcons should cruise to a fourth straight win while covering the spread.
