Gilbert Arenas Long Gone From NBA, Still Ass Fucking Crazy

Noted eccentric Gilbert Arenas is back in the news, for extremely Gilbert Arenas reasons.

The former Wizards star has long had a rocky relationship with on-and-off partner and co-parent Laura Govan; who can forget when he claimed“someone” killed his sharks by throwing pennies into their tank?

This time, Arenas apparently posted a year-old video that shows him destroying his own cars with a cinder block, apparently as part of a spat with Govan. He apparently posted the video on his Instagram account to apparently preempt TMZ from posting the video itself, although TMZ — like just about every other media outlet on the planet — simply posted Arenas’s Instagram’d account instead.

In a long and occasionally profane caption, Arenas provided the logical explanation for his actions. Govan, he said, had broken 34 windows in his home, “so I decided too show her I’ll break my OWN [stuff] before she does,” Arenas wrote, adding that both cars he was destroying were owned by him.

The reason he was so mad, he further explained, was not because of the broken house windows, but because she had tossed his computer into a swimming pool, and his Netflix password was auto saved on that computer, leaving him unable to watch Netflix, a situation that would surely prompt most people to be angry and/or destroy their cars with a cinder block.

“U take a person #Netflix away, nothing else matters,” wrote Arenas, 33. “#TMZ here’s my comment: I LIKE NETFLIX.”

Arenas, who might possibly need a hobby, had recently used his Instagram for slightly more altruistic means, repeatedly posting profane trash-talking messages to the Wizards playoff opponents.

Arenas and Govan — who have four children — have fought countless times before; five years ago, she claimed Arenas had abandoned her and their children, leaving them in Great Falls “with no money to purchase food or Christmas gifts.”

In March, TMZ reported that Govan was suing Arenas, saying they had lived as husband and wife and asking for “her cut of the Arenas fortune — which she says includes profits from a number of marijuana clinics which she says Gilbert owns.”

Arenas wrote that he now has his children every Wednesday, every other weekend and half of the summer; “I guess when u want $244k a month and 1 day a month visitation and don’t get it…you’ll spend ur days trying to destroy the other parent image so u can get full custody smdh,” he wrote.
