Golden State Looks to Take 3-0 Lead at New Orleans Tonight

betting 1The NBA’s Pacific Division champion Golden State Warriors can take a commanding lead in their first round best of seven Western Conference series with a win tonight when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans.

Golden State owns a 2-0 lead in the series as it heads to New Orleans. The current line for Game 3 has Golden State favored by 5 points with the point total for the over/under sitting on 203.

The Warriors own the league’s best record on the road at 28-13. However, the most recent setback of the 13 was at the hands of New Orleans back on April 7.

New Orleans will attempt to stop the Warriors on Thursday to get back into the series or otherwise will have their proverbial backs against the wall facing a 3-0 deficit in Game 4.

In Games 1 and 2, New Orleans played Golden State tough, but could not take control of either game and eventually lost both.

During the regular season, New Orleans was 28-13 at home, but Golden State will not be intimated as they have played so well on the road all season.

Golden State’s Stephen Curry scored 56 points in the first two games of the series and during the season on the road, he averaged over 25 points per game.

Curry took over the game early in both games at Golden State, while Klay Thompson his fellow sharpshooter took over late in both games to hold off rallies in the fourth quarter in each of the first two games.

However, the player most consistent on both ends of the court for Golden State has been Draymond Green. He recorded double-doubles in each of two games of the series thus far. He has also battled Anthony Davis, the top player on the Pelicans. Green thrives on being the emotional and vocal leader on the team.

New Orleans hopes its home crowd will give it the boost it needs to get back into the series. The crowd at Golden State is one of the loudest in the league, and Davis hopes his Pelicans fans will be the same way.

Eric Gordon a guard for New Orleans has hit 9 of his 17 shots from three-point territory in this series. Warriors center Andrew Bogut has averaged 14 rebounds in the first two games of the series.

Jrue Holiday one of New Orleans’ guards, missed Game 2 with a leg problem and is questionable for tonight’s Game 3.

The UNDER has cashed in 4 of the past 5 games between the two teams played in New Orleans. The UNDER has also cashed in 8 of the past 11 games overall between the two.

Golden State is 1-4 against the spread over its past 5 games with New Orleans.

Pick: New Orleans 101-97
