Heat vs Pacers Game 6 Preview
The word classic is thrown around a lot now-a-days. Make no mistake, there is no literary devices at work here, the series between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers is going to be a classic, and I totally called it.
Even if the Heat end this series tonight, when we reflect upon the careers of Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, Roy Hibbert, Paul George, or anyone else on either of these teams we will talk about this series. When we see highlights from great moments in the NBA we will see highlights from this series. It has had it all. LeBron James has been explosive and entertaining and we will not be forgetting how he put the Heat on his back in Game 5.  Chris “Birdman” Anderson has been playing great, but he has come to symbolize just how contentious and aggressive this series has become.
Also we have simply seen the best basketball we have seen all postseason, possibly the entire season included as well. Now this series is going into Game 6 tonight and things are only going to get more intense.
The Pacers will need to go into this game with a new offensive game plan. The Heat are dangerous. It may have been Jame who carried Miami into their victory in Game 5, but if they manage to shut down James, it could be Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, Ray Allen or Birdman (oops, he’s suspended) who carry the Heat to the win in Game 6. Therefore, the Pacers need to be able to match the entire Heat squad shot for shot. However, it is the Pacers defense that was able to stifle Wade and Bosh in Game 5 so they still need to keep the heat on the Heat on the other side of the ball as well.
Despite there win in Game 5, the Heat are going into Game 6 nervous. They do not want to have to rely on the skill of one player to get the job done that is why they have the big 3.  Imagine if the Pacers were able to shut down James halfway through the third in Game 5, that would have spelled a Pacers win.
The odds are in the Heat’s favor for this one according to all the money lines. However, someone could very well make a lot of money with a bet on the Pacers.
