Jason Pierre-Paul further mangles previously mangled hand
New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has learned how to play without a good portion of his right hand due to his unfortunate 4th of July fireworks incident a couple years back. Now he’s playing through another injury to that hand in the form of a broken finger.
Pierre-Paul is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals but says he’s playing, per Art Stapleton of USA Today Sports.
JPP says he broke a finger on his previously damaged right hand. That’s the new injury he is dealing with. He’s questionable, but says he’s playing. #Giants

Pierre-Paul’s career has been one of ups and downs. The season before he injured his hand he racked up 12.5 sacks and was on his way to earning a huge payday. Since then, however, he’s not been able to get back to double-digit sack totals in a season, tallying seven sacks in 2016 and 6.5 in 2017.
The Giants, as we know, have fallen off a cliff this year heading into Week 16 with just two wins on their record. With that in mind, the fact that Pierre-Paul is determined to keep fighting through an injury, especially since he already has a big contract, shows he’s very much still committed to football and his teammates.
