Lakers VS Clippers Shaping Up To Be Fascinating Matchup
An NBA playoff meeting between the Clippers and the Lakers looks increasingly likely as the restarted season plays out.
The Lakers have sealed the number one seed in the West, and they are trailed by the Clippers in second place. The victor in this city rivalry will probably then have the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis to contend with. However, until then, the two teams must find a way to edge past each other.Â
In three meetings between the two this year, the Clippers have won twice. In a recent loss to their rivals, they pushed them all the way to the final seconds with key players missing.
Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant believes that the Clippers will win out, and end up facing the Bucks in the Finals.

“I’ll go with Clippers and Bucks for the championship,” Durant said.
“And I’ll go with the Clippers.”
“They’re just so deep,” he added.
“They haven’t had their whole team together at once for a long period of time yet, and that talent is just undeniable. When you have [Paul George] and Kawhi [Leonard] at the wings, that’s what you need to win is wings. You got those two at the wings, arguably top three, top four at the wing position on one team.”

Don’t count LeBron James and his teammates out, though, they’re pretty dangerous themselves. They have a player in Anthony Davis who just equalled a Kobe Bryant record.
In their win over the Utah Jazz, Davis scored 23 of his 42 points in the first half. He is the first player since Kobe Bryant to score 20 + points in a half 20 times in a season. If they are to triumph over the Clippers, it will be on the back of an Anthony Davis masterclass.
