MLB Thursday Preview (American League)
While this is the time of the MLB season where we tend to look at big picture issues in the MLB. Sometimes it is nice to hone our focus in on individual games. Here are a couple of games from the American League from a day in baseball today that are catching our attention and they should catch your attention as well.
Cleavland Indians @ Boston Red Sox
The Cleavland Indians have been grabbing a lot of attention from those of use who cover sports. Despite their recent loss to the Detroit Tigers in a 7-11 slugfest, the Indians are still sitting atop the AL Central Division with the Tigers 0.5 games behind. Tonight they will take on the Boston Red Sox who sit, similarly to the Tigers, 0.5 games behind the New York Yankees.
Both these teams are going to be battling to either try and maintain their spot atop their division as is the case with the Indians, or they will be looking to take the top spot in their division as with the Red Sox.
Bovada has the Red Sox as the slight favorites to win this game. The money line to bet on the Red Sox is at -150 while the Indians money line is at +130.
Minnesota Twins @ Detroit Tigers
The Minnesota Twins are struggling and things are not going to get any easier today as they take on Bovada’s World Series favorites, the Tigers. The Twins are last place in their division and currently sit at a .419 winning percentage. If they are going to win games, the Twins need to start winning now. The Tigers, on the other hand, are coming off a big win against their division rivals and division leaders, the Indians.
Not surprising, the Tigers are the favorites to win this one according to Bovada’s money line. The money line for the Tigers sits at -175 while the Twins money line is at +155.
