NBA All Star Game Narrowly Avoided Covid-19 Outbreak

The Covid-19 virus infiltrated the NBA All-Star game on Sunday night, keeping two players away from the match.

Philadelphia 76ers stars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid were forced to sit out the game due to NBA contract tracing.

They could potentially be kept away from their 76ers teammates when the second half of the season begins on Thursday.

Adam Silver used the situation to urge NBA players to get vaccinated, though he said the league won’t force it.

“That’s a conversation that my family and I will have. Pretty much keep that to a private thing,” LeBron James said.

“Obviously, I saw Adam had his comments about the vaccination. But things like that, when you decide to do something, that’s a conversation between you and your family and not for everybody. I’ll keep it that way.

“I hope so,” James said, when asked if he had enough time to recover. “Is it enough time? I’ll take any time, obviously. So I’ll take full advantage of the time that we have. Is it enough time? No, it’s never enough time, but we’re not on the side of time. I’m not on the side of time. I’ll take full advantage of what I have and be OK with it.”
