NBA Rumors: DeMarcus Cousins Back On The Trading Block?
Heading into the 2015 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings were rumored to be weighing their options on trading All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins. The rumors started circulating about head coach George Karl no longer wanting Cousins on the team and favoring trading for some of his former players from the Denver Nuggets.
Things began to get very uncomfortable in Sacramento with Cousins letting his frustrations be known on social media. Although the Kings brass denied any trade talks were in the works, the Los Angeles Lakers emerged as a candidate to make a deal with their division rivals. Ultimately, the deal with the Lakers fell apart and any talk of trading Cousins went with it.
Earlier this week, the trade rumors surrounding Cousins began to ramp up once again with talk of the majority of the Kings front office favoring trading the star center, according to Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck:
It seems as though the Cousins trade saga isn’t over. Cousins may very well be traded by the Kings at some point between now and the NBA trade deadline in February with Sacramento possibly still open to the idea of parting ways with the All-Star.
Cousins did take to Twitter to respond to the trade rumors starting to swirl once again:
Blah blah blah…

One thing seems for certain, if the Kings struggle to turn things around next season Cousins may be on the move if Sacramento can find the right deal. The Kings will find it tough to compete in the Western Conference, but may be able to put it together with the additions of Rajon Rondo, Willie Cauley-Stein, Marco Belinelli and Kosta Koufos.
It may be a stretch this team can contend for a playoff spot in the West with Cousins leading the way, but it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility.
