Anthony Edwards rips Timberwolves teammates
Following a disappointing loss to the Sacramento Kings, star guard Anthony Edwards ripped into his team over their recent struggles.
Edwards bashed his team’s effort and performance on Wednesday night.
“Our identity right now is, I think it’s we soft as hell as a team, internally,” Edwards said via ESPN. “Not to the other team, but internally, we soft. We can’t talk to each other. Just a bunch of little kids. Just like we playing with a bunch of little kids.
“Everybody, the whole team. We just can’t talk to each other. And we’ve got to figure it out, because we can’t go down this road.”
Over the last couple of weeks, the Timberwolves have looked nowhere like the team that reached the Western Conference Finals last season. They hold a 9-10 record after losing seven out of their previous 10 games.
Before Friday’s win over the LA Clippers, Minnesota had dropped four games in a row. It’s been nothing short of a rollercoaster for the first couple of months of the season, as the team held a 6-3 record before their skid.

During the team’s struggles, Edwards hasn’t been afraid to voice his blunt, unfiltered opinion.
“I’m talking about the whole team,” Edwards said. “However many of us it is, all 15, we go into our own shell and we’re just growing away from each other. It’s obvious. We can see it. I can see it, the team can see it, the coaches can see it.”
He has been the leading offensive factor behind his career-high 27.7 points and 42.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Edwards has scored 20 or more points in every game this season while notching at least 30 points five times.
