Cavs rumored to be open to trading forward Larry Nance Jr.
Since the start of the offseason, the Cavs have remained relatively quiet.
However, the rumor is beginning to spark up around another forward on the roster not named Kevin Love. According to Chris Fodor of Cleveland.com, the Cavaliers may be willing to move veteran Nance Jr.

A team leader, fan-favorite, versatile defender and culture piece, Nance’s value extends far beyond the box score. Despite receiving compelling offers for him in the past, the Cavs haven’t gotten the one they believe would make them better. Sources maintain it would take a lot to deal him.
Nance has become a valued part of the Cavaliers’ core group due to his versatility defensively while being a consistent outside shooting option. He’s coming off a campaign averaging 9.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists on 47.1% shooting from the floor and 36.0% from beyond the arc.

In his three-plus seasons in Cleveland, he’s averaging 9.5 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 51.7% from the floor with 77 starts in 182 games played. Nance is in the third year of his four-year, $44.8 million deal that includes no player or team options for the 2022-23 season.
The Cavaliers are holding firm on getting a significant package for the 28-year-old due to what he brings to the table. Cleveland will likely fetch a sizable offer as he could become a viable supporting cast talent.
With the 2021-22 season less than two months away, expect the Cavaliers to listen to offers that may see Nance suit up for another team.
