Clippers superstar James Harden joins Stephen Curry in elite company
LA Clippers star guard James Harden added another impressive feat to his resume by joining Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry as the only player in NBA history with 3,000 made 3-pointers.
Harden reached that mark in the first half of Sunday’s win over the Denver Nuggets as part of his 39-point performance.
“Another one of those accomplishments that you never take for granted,” Harden said via ESPN. “The amount of work that I’ve put in — countless days and nights where I put the work in — a lot of see it but the results happen, so I’m just thankful.”
It comes several days after he surpassed Hall of Famer Ray Allen to move into second place on the all-time 3-pointers made list behind Curry. Harden has been a steadily consistent 3-point shooter throughout his NBA career, shooting at 36.3 percent on 7.6 attempts per game.
The 35-year-old is putting together another strong campaign averaging 22.3 points, 8.9 assists, and 7.2 rebounds while shooting 34.6 percent from the floor. He has recorded 12 double-doubles, one triple-double, and scored 20 or more points 15 times.

Although his scoring production isn’t what it once was, he remains a highly effective offensive factor behind his playmaking ability as a passer and scorer. With Kawhi Leonard still out due to injury, he has shouldered the responsibility as the offensive driving force.
Harden has guided the Clippers to the fifth-best record at 14-9 in the Western Conference, including winning eight out of their last 10 games.
