There are some clear and obvious reasons for Curry. He’s a core piece of a team that’s been to four straight NBA Finals with three championships over that span. Golden State has a core group together with four legitimate All-Stars with him, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
With these four in place, the future is still bright as each are in the prime of their careers with the possibility to contend for more NBA titles over the next few years as long as they stay together and are healthy. Ownership has already voiced the willingness to take on the luxury tax hit to keep them together for the long haul.

As for Curry, he could remain with the Warriors for as long as he wants to. After all, he’s the head of the snake offensively. He has developed the identity of the franchise over the last several years to what it is today and is a central part in helping them win these last few NBA titles. With Curry committed for the long haul, it should erase any doubt concerning the possibility that he would leave down the road.
