College Hoops Odds for Friday’s Best Games

There are many great college basketball games on tap for Friday afternoon and evening around the country. This might be one of the best football weekends of the year, but the hoops action is alright too. Several of the Top 25 teams will be in action on Friday. Some of these games these which BetDSI has odds on:

Central Florida Knights at #7  Florida Gators– UCF is +16 and has 68% of the money on them so far. The Knights suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday, to the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders 75-61. The Gators had beaten MTSU two days earlier 66-51. Other common opponents so far include the Alabama State Hornets, which Florida beat 85-35 while UCF beat them 85-56 and the Savannah State Tigers who the Gators beat 58-40 while UCF won 53-50. So you can see, Florida has been beating people a bit more than the Knights have, so 16 points is probably not going to be enough. We will go with UF -16.

Oklahoma Sooners at #17 Gonzaga Bulldogs– The Bulldogs are thought to be a Final Four contender this season by many of the experts. They have a team that can play. Elias Harris, Kevin Pangos and company are 4-0 with wins over the West Virginia Mountaineers  and Clemson Tigers. The Sooners are 3-0 with a win over the Clemson Tigers. There is no betting line on this game as of yet.

#14 Creighton Blue Jays at Wisconsin Badgers- Wisconsin is 3-1 on the season with their only loss being to Florida 74-56. The Jays are 4-0 and ranked #14. The two teams have both played the Presbyterian Blue Hose with Wisconsin winning 88-43 and Creighton winning 87-58. BetDSI has the Badgers -1. 80% of the bets are on the Badgers. We are going to buck the trend again and go with the Blue Jays +1.

VCU Rams vs #5 Duke Blue Devils- The Blue Devils will take on the always tough VCU Rams in the semifinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. Duke is coming off a win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers yesterday 89-71. Mason Plumlee had 20 points and 17 rebounds in that one for Duke. The Rams are 3-1 with a win yesterday over the #19 Memphis Tigers 78-65. Their loss was a 53-51 nail biter to the Wichita State Shockers. There is no betting line on this game as of yet.

#2 Louisville Cardinals vs #13 Missouri Tigers- In what is the game of the day, the 4-0 Cardinals, coming off a tough five point win yesterday over the Northern Iowa Panthers 51-46, will face the 4-0 Tigers coming off a 78-70 win over the Stanford Cardinal in the Battle 4 Atlantis, which has one heck of a field this year. The winner of this game gets the winner of Duke-VCU in the championship game. There is also no line on this game yet. That’s disappointing. Hopefully it will be up soon.

So if you are getting tired of all the football, there is plenty of good hoops action going on today. We will be attending the UCF-UF game in person so look for us in the stands.
