NFC East: Updated Super Bowl Odds Week 7
One week of football can really have a dramatic effect on a team’s odds to win the Super Bowl. A good of example of this can be seen in the NFC East where after Week 6, each team’s Super Bowl odds paints an interesting picture heading into Week 7.

I have been saying for week now that the Philadelphia Eagles luck was going to run out. Week 6 was the beginning of the Eagles luck waning. They suffered a close loss at the hands of the Detroit Lions 26-23. If the Eagles want to improve their odds to win the Super Bowl they are going to have to improve their play because the luck that was winning them games is running out.
The Eagles moved to 3-3 which is good enough for second place in their division, but their Super Bowl odds took a big dip after their loss.

The New York Giants dominated the San Fransisco 49ers in a surprising decisive victory in a game in which they were the underdogs. The Giants beat the 49ers 26-3. This was a very telling game for many reasons.
First, it showed us that the 49ers were not the dominant force we thought they were. They clearly have some weaknesses that the Giants successfully exposed.
The game also put the Giants as the sixth place team most likely to win the Super Bowl.
Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys continue to fall in Super Bowl odds and in the NFC EAST rankings. The Cowboys are now last place in the NFC East after losing to the Baltimore Ravens 29-31.
This happens to the Cowboys every year. They are surrounded with hype early in the year and deliver nothing but disappointment. They are now 2-3 and as previously stated that is good enough for last place in their division.
Washington Redskins
Super Bowl Odds

75/1 Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 75/1
The Washington Redskins Super Bowl Odds may not have moved this week, but their victory over the Minnesota Vikings was huge.
They defeated the Vikings 26-38 in a win that pulled them out of their losing record moving them to 3-3. The Redskins are hanging in there keeping up with the Eagles, who are they are tied with second place of the division with, and are just a win and a Giants loss away from sitting on top of their division.
Redskins fans have a reason to be excited about their football team. This young team is solid and is only going to get better over time. If they are not major contenders this year then they will most likely be sitting on top of their division next year.
