NFL Offseason News Update

This time of year NFL news sometimes falls through the cracks as we have the NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs and Baseball season in full swing.  Here is a quick post to help you get all caught up on the NFL news you may have missed.

Chad Johnson Goes to Jail and Gets Released

He is the butt of many jokes, though, he doesn’t every seem to realize it.  Chad Johnson did little to help his terrible reputation when he slapped his lawyer, Adam Swickle, on the rear end after the judge asked him how he thinks his lawyer was doing during a hearing for a probation violation.  Judge Kathleen McHugh then sentenced Johnson to 30 days in jail for his behavior in the court room.

I just wanted to apologize for disrespecting the court last time.  I apologize. I did have time to reflect on the mistakes I made in this courtroom.

Johnson was in jail for seven days when he was released after the judge accepted his apology.  Somewhere in between all of this Johnson was visited by fellow former NFL star who has fallen from glory Terrell Owens.  Keep an eye out for special prop bets for which former player will do something stupid that lands them in the news next.

Cincinnati Bengals On Hard Knocks?

Though there has been no official announcement made yet, it is being reported by many in the Cincinnati media that the Cincinnati Bengals will be the NFL team featured on HBO’s popular series Hard Knocks.  It will be the second time the Bengals will make an appearance on the show with the first being back in 2009.  Many who are superstitious feel the show is good luck for the Bengals as after being featured on the show they made their first playoff run since 2005.
