NFL Week 11: 5 games to bet on

If you’re familiar with NFL odds, you’ll know this week doesn’t have a ton of big spreads to take advantage of. However, there are a ton of road favorites, seven in fact. So which games should you be thinking about laying some money on? Let’s take a look at the NFL odds and break it down. (Lines as seen as OddsShark)

5. Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers (-7)

The Steelers probably win this game at home on a Thursday night, but this line is too large. Tennessee has played close games almost every week this season, and has some impressive wins including over the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks. The only blowout defeat came against the Houston Texans, so while Pittsburgh is the better team, it probably doesn’t run and hide in this contest. The Steelers also have failed to score 30 points once this year, meaning a 20-point outburst from the Titans should be good enough to cover.

4. Baltimore Ravens (-2) at Green Bay Packers

I understand that Aaron Rodgers is out with a broken collarbone, but how are the Ravens laying two points in this one? Baltimore has been one of the worst teams in the league, only buoyed to a 4-5 record by a weak slate. The Ravens have no ability to score and while the Packers aren’t exactly a juggernaut with Brett Hundley, they have home-field advantage here and a better roster. Give me Green Bay all day and twice on Sunday.

3. Kansas City Chiefs (-10.5) at New York Giants

This is the biggest line of the week, but still take the favorite here. It’s not usually wise to take big numbers on the road, but the Giants have completely quit. Meanwhile, Kansas City is coming off the bye, something Andy Reid is 16-2 off of in his career. The Chiefs have also lost three of four and should be furious, looking to take out their anger. This is the perfect recipe for a blowout.

2. Buffalo Bills at Los Angles Chargers (-4.5)

Assuming Philip Rivers plays, this is a can’t miss line. The Chargers are two games worse than the Bills in the standings, but they are the more talented team and they’re playing at home. In addition, Buffalo has to go all the way across the country, with the knowledge that the Chiefs and Patriots are on the docket over the next two weeks. If Los Angeles plays a decent game it wins and covers with the Bills in complete free fall.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars (-7.5) at Cleveland Browns

This is simple. Jacksonville has perhaps the best defense in the NFL, and the Browns are comically bad across the board. Unless Blake Bortles throws a half-dozen interceptions (a distinct possibility) the Jaguars win this game going away.
