NFL Week 15 schedule: 5 teams on upset alert
Looking at the NFL Week 15 schedule, these five teams should be on upset alert heading into Sunday afternoon.
5. Dallas Cowboys (-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Cowboys are trying to catch the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East, but they’ve been vulnerable the past two weeks in games against the Indianapolis Colts and, especially, the Houston Texans. Now, Dallas takes on a Jacksonville team with plenty to play for, only sitting two games out of the AFC South lead after battering the Tennessee Titans last Sunday. Expect a tight game in Duval County.

4. Washington Commanders (-4.5) vs. New York Giants
The Commanders are laying 4.5 points, but why? Perhaps it’s because this game is in Washington, or perhaps it’s because the Giants are 0-3-1 in their last four games and the Commanders are coming off a bye week. That said, New York and Washington tied two weeks ago in a game where Daniel Jones didn’t throw an incompletion — save for a spike — until New York’s last drive of regulation.
3. Los Angeles Chargers (-3) vs. Tennessee Titans
The Chargers are coming off their most impressive showing of the season, handling the Miami Dolphins on primetime at SoFi Stadium. Now, they get the Titans, who are 7-6 but also losers of their last three games, including a pair of blowouts against Philadelphia and Jacksonville. This is the classic spot where Derrick Henry runs wild on Los Angeles, and the Chargers remind everybody why they’ve been one of the most perplexing teams of recent memory.

2. New York Jets (-1) vs. Detroit Lions
The Jets are a tough team to figure this week. Quarterback Mike White has been rule out with a rib injury, and Zach Wilson is getting the nod. Wilson was benched last month for White after a hideous showing against the New England Patriots, and now starts against a red-hot Lions team. However, Detroit has been much different away from home than when it plays inside Ford Field. Can the defense rise up and make Wilson look like the bust he’s been to this point?
1. Las Vegas Raiders (-1.5) vs. New England Patriots
The Patriots should be favored in this game. While the Raiders are getting tight end Darren Waller and slot receiver Hunter Renfrow back in action, they still have a horrific defense and Josh McDaniels as a head coach. New England has Bill Belichick standing on its sideline, and the defense can get after the passer with Josh Uche and Matt Judon screaming off the edges. Also, the Patriots understand their season is on the line.
