AFC West Week Five

Last week the four AFC West Teams all played each other. The bug winners were the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos. Those were the two tea,s most picked to start the season as the contenders to win it. Last week with the Chargers 37-20 win over the Kansas City Chiefs and the Broncos 37-6 win over the Oakland Raiders, it sure looks like everyone was right.

This week the Broncos take on the New England Patriots in one of those classic Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady match-ups. The Patriots are 8-4 vs Manning, but at one time they were 6-0. This is the first time the game will involve the Broncos instead of the Indianapolis Colts. Last season, Brady and the Pats blew the Broncos out of the AFC Divisional Playoffs.

Bookmaker has Denver +6.5 -110 or +235 at New England. The Pats are -6.5 -110 or -275. Over/under on the game is 52. We like the over on this one and the Broncos straight up to win $235.00. That’s worth a $100.00 risk.

San Diego is at the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are off to a miserable 0-4 start. The Chargers are +3 +115 or +165. Wait, the Saints are favored? Do you want to just hand me the money now? The Saints are -3 -135 or -195. Over/under is 54. I know the Saints have to win eventually and they are at home, but this isn’t the week for it. Take the Chargers at +165.

The Baltimore Ravens are at Kansas City. The Ravens are -6 -110 or -275. The Chiefs are +6 -110 or +235. Over/under is 46.5. We like the Chiefs +6.

Oakland is off this week.

The Chargers lead the Division at 3-1. The Broncos are second at 2-2 with the Raiders and Chiefs both 1-3.  We are really liking that Chargers game. That one seems like easy money.
