Arizona Cardinals Remain Undecided on No. 1 Choice
The NFL Draft is eight days away and the Arizona Cardinals’ clock is ticking away. However, the team’s general manager Steve Keim wasn’t giving anything away just yet. He told the media that a decision about whom the Arizona Cardinals will select as the No. 1 overall pick has not been finalized.
Keim added that since the draft is still over a week away there remains plenty of time to continue with the decision-making process on who will be their No. 1 pick.

Keim mentioned that he would not talk about if the organization has taken calls about trading the No. 1 pick or about a specific player. Nonetheless, later in the conversation Keim added there have been other teams that have shown some attention about the No. 1 pick.
The Arizona Cardinals GM added that trading the No. 1 pick would come down to the compensation and if it were sufficient enough to give up the No. 1 pick, then the Cardinals would have to consider it.
For the last couple of months, speculation has been that the Cardinals would draft quarterback Kyler Murray out of Oklahoma. Murray was recruited while in high school by new Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

Keim said he liked to listen to and read the speculation about the player the Cardinals are doing to choose.
Keim added that when it related to Murray whoever drafts the talented player must be careful about the possibility of Murray deciding to play baseball. Murray was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2018, but said during February he would focus on playing football.
With the multitude of talk linking Arizona to drafting Murray, coach Kingsbury said current starting quarterback Josh Rosen has been excellent through the entire process.
