Baltimore Ravens trade veteran QB Joe Flacco to Denver Broncos
After a forgettable 2018 campaign with Case Keenum under center, the Denver Broncos have decided to make a somewhat surprising move to acquire veteran quarterback Joe Flacco in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the two teams have agreed in principle on the deal which will send Flacco to Denver.

Reports say the trade has been agreed to. Although, the deal cannot go through until next month when the new league year gets underway, via ESPN.
The trade cannot officially be processed until the new league year begins March 13.
The teams are prohibited from commenting on the deal or the terms. When the deal is completed, it likely will be for a midround pick, sources told ESPN.
Last year, the Broncos were one of the teams in the league aggressively looking to upgrade at the quarterback position. The storied NFL franchise was thought to be seriously considering signing Kirk Cousins. However the team ultimately went with Keenum with Cousins set on signing with the Minnesota Vikings.

Unfortunately for Denver, Keenum didn’t exactly live up to expectations in his first season in Denver. The well-traveled veteran failed to lead the team to the playoffs and now may be on his way out.
As for Flacco, the one-time Super Bowl champion took a backseat to rookie phenom Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. Once Jackson was promoted to starter, the rookie never looked back with Flacco parked on the bench, but now the veteran has a chance to be a starter once again.
