Bears RB Tarik Cohen ’embarrassed’ by incident with Kyle Long
Following the Chicago Bears’ win over the Washington Redskins on Monday night, Tarik Cohen is in the midst of a controversy after he accidentally streamed a video of his teammate Kyle Long completely naked in the locker room.
The video quickly made its way through social media with still images of Long finding their way around. In response to that, head coach Matt Nagy has issued a zero-tolerance policy for any use of social media in the locker room moving forward, according to Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.
“Without a doubt, it is [a policy going forward],” Nagy said Wednesday. “First of all, it’s a league rule, so that’s that. And I think it’s unfortunate that that happened. Tarik feels bad and is apologetic and embarrassed that it happened.”
Cohen also issued a public apology to Long about the situation as he took complete blame for the mistake. It’s something he has sounded like has taken full ownership of and will learn from moving.
Meanwhile, Long has voiced that he understands that it was an accident and embraced the situation. It’s something that has no foul intent, but it’s simply a mistake that the Bears are hoping they can quickly move on from.
The Bears are getting prepared for Week 4 action against the Minnesota Vikings, hoping to grab their third straight win while moving a step closer to getting back on top of the NFC North. This will be just their second divisional action of the season as their next four games will all be played at home.
