Dak Prescott will be calling the shots for Cowboys’ offense – CeeDee Lamb

Even though the defense is the talk of the town in Dallas, quarterback Dak Prescott will be feeling the pressure.

The Dallas Cowboys always have high expectations when coming into an NFL season, and that’s no different with the start of the 2023 campaign right around the corner. America’s Team is as talented as ever on both sides of the football.

Usually, the Cowboys make headlines for the additions the team has made offensively, whether it be a new star wide receiver or running back. However, this year it has been all about the defense. Micah Parsons and company are expected to be a force to be reckoned with in 2023 and arguably the best defense in the league.

Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb claims Dak Prescott will be calling the shots on offense via Pro Football Talk.

“All the offense is in Dak’s hands now. It’s not necessarily being called from Mike or Kel since last year. It’s all on Dak. However he’s feeling versus the coverage, if he likes the matchup, we’re gonna call that play.”

That’s a lot of pressure to put on a starting quarterback, but at this point in his career, if he can’t handle it, it’s time to make a change, which could be what happens next offseason depending on the outcome of the 2023 campaign.

Fortunately for Prescott, he’ll have quite a few weapons at his disposal, including Lamb who is quickly becoming one of the best wideouts in the NFL.

Prescott will also have a Pro Bowler coming out of the backfield in Tony Pollard. As well as that, he’ll have Cowboys newcomer Brandin Cooks to throw to downfield.
