Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is ‘ready to get out there’ in Week 10
The Kansas City Chiefs have ventured the last two weeks without the services of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes has been absent due to a knee injury.
The wait appears to be finally over for Mahomes. He’s set to return to the field as he’s expected to play in Sunday’s contest against the Tennessee Titans. The reigning league MVP confirmed that being the case on Friday with much excitement about getting back in the mix, according to Adam Teicher of ESPN.

“I’m in a good spot,” Mahomes said after the Chiefs concluded their practice week on Friday. “I’m ready to get out there.”
The Chiefs have been taking a precautionary approach with Mahomes’ injury. He dislocated his knee cap against the Denver Broncos, a tricky injury. The team had rolled with backup Matt Moore as the starter in his absence, where they split the two games.

Mahomes’ return brings a significant boost back to the offense. It should get them back on track towards holding one of the best records in the league. Kansas City remains in the driver’s seat to win yet another AFC West division title being just one game ahead of the surging Oakland Raiders.

The team will likely keep a close eye on the Pro Bowler’s health moving forward as he has dealt with two different nagging injuries in his third campaign.
