Commanders reveal Jayden Daniels’ status after rib injury
One of the most entertaining quarterbacks in the NFL this season has been a rookie, with Washington Commanders’ leader under center becoming a superstar this year, leading the team to wins on a weekly basis, turning the team into the team to beat in the NFC East division.
After Week 7, the Commanders are sporting an impressive 5-2 record, with the team leading the charge in their division and on pace to make the NFL playoffs.

Unfortunately, the team saw Daniels go down early in their game against the Carolina Panthers, as he suffered a rib injury and didn’t return to the field.
According to John Keim of ESPN, the Commanders consider Daniels “week-to-week” moving forward.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels did not suffer long-term damage to his ribs Sunday, and there’s a chance he’ll play next Sunday against the Chicago Bears, coach Dan Quinn said Monday.
Quinn called Daniels “week-to-week” with a rib injury that he incurred on his first play from scrimmage, a 46-yard run in which he was tackled from behind by two Carolina Panthers, causing him to fall awkwardly, in Washington’s 40-7 victory.
Although it’s not great that Daniels is already dealing with an injury that has put his playing status in doubt, head coach Dan Quinn isn’t ruling him out to play this week against the Chicago Bears.
“We’re hopeful he can play,” Quinn said, “but we’ll also make sure to take every precautionary step and do it smartly for the player and the man.”
Only time will tell if Daniels will be ready to go for a showdown against fellow rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
