Eagles, Dallas Cowboys will battle once more for NFC East
The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. The rivalry technically dates back to 1960 when Dallas was an expansion franchise in the NFL, but really cranked up in the late 1970s.
Now, the two teams are fierce rivals after decades of brawling. In 2020, the dislike will ratchet up another notch with the pair clearly the best of the NFC East.
With the Washington Redskins and New York Giants both in a rebuild amid second-year starting quarterbacks and new head coaches, Dallas and Philadelphia have rosters ready to compete for a title. Only three years ago, the Eagles won their first championship of the Super Bowl era, while the Cowboys have won two of the past four division titles.

However, for both the Cowboys and Eagles, there are questions coming into the season surrounding their star signal-callers.
In Philadelphia, Carson Wentz needs to stay healthy. Last year, the youngster played all 16 regular-season games but was knocked out of the NFC Wild Card round in the first half against the Seattle Seahawks with a concussion. Through his first four seasons, Wentz has had his share of injuries, making some wonder if he can withstand the rigors of an NFL campaign.
In Dallas, Dak Prescott is on the franchise tag. If his agent and the team can’t come to a new deal by the deadline date of July 15, will Prescott become annoyed and therefore affected? While Prescott stands to make a huge sum of money by having a great year in 2020, acrimony could rule the day without a long-term pact in place.

Of course, the biggest unknown facing either team is the coaching change in Dallas. After a decade of being led by Jason Garrett, the former backup quarterback is out in favor of Mike McCarthy. McCarthy, who was out of football for a year after being fired by the Green Bay Packers brings a Super Bowl ring and a new offensive scheme to JerryWorld.
McCarthy has no reason to falter, considering his offense is one of the most-talented in the game. The Dallas Cowboys drafted receiver CeeDee. Lamb out of Oklahoma with its first-round pick, pairing him with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. The Cowboys have one of the best offensive lines, and behind it is Prescott and All-Pro running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Both the Eagles and Cowboys have high hopes for 2020. Their two matchups against each other this season should be must-watch events.
