Eagles reportedly taking trade calls on Nick Foles
After winning Super Bowl LII with an impressive victory over Tom Brady’s New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles have seen the value of backup quarterback Nick Foles skyrocket. Foles is now an intriguing option for teams around the NFL looking to bolster the quarterback position. The Eagles must decide whether to keep him to play behind Carson Wentz or trade him while he’s hot.
According to ESPN, the Eagles have received trade interest in the veteran quarterback. Although there’s interest, Philadelphia is putting a high price on the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
The Philadelphia Eagles have received multiple trade offers for quarterback Nick Foles but are setting a high price, sources told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
At this point, there’s no telling where Foles might play next season. Philadelphia may be setting the trade price a little too high. However, there’s a chance that once Kirk Cousins finds a new home, teams might start looking at Foles.
NFC
The Denver Broncos, New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, and Arizona Cardinals searching for a franchise quarterback. Whether Foles can be that franchise guy is up for debate. Although one of these teams may view him that way if they can’t land Cousins in free agency.
As of right now, Foles may be resigned to being a backup for Wentz and an insurance policy for the Eagles in the event that their young starter continues to deal with knee issues. Regardless of the Foles situation in Philadelphia, the defending champs are expected to be a force to be reckoned with once again in the NFC.
