This talk has only ramped up further this offseason. Reports talk of them potentially taking a quarterback in the first round of this year’s draft. This is something that Manning recently acknowledged. He stated that he believes this is the direction that the team will take next week, according to Art Stapleton of USA TODAY Sports.

“I figure the Giants are gonna get a young quarterback, I understand that. Hey, I still have to do my job and do my part. My job, as I see it, is to go out there and play quarterback and win football games.”
The chatter leading up to the draft is that the Giants could wind up using the sixth overall pick on a quarterback such as Dwayne Haskins or Daniel Jones. There has also been some speculation that they could trade for Arizona Cardinals second-year quarterback Josh Rosen as the expectation is that they take 2018 Heisman winner Kyler Murray for the first overall spot.

Ultimately, the answer to this question won’t be answered until next Thursday night. Until then, speculation will continue to run rampant as to what the Giants will do to put a plan in place at the position.
