Falcons Reward Kyle Pitts With Massive Deal After Breakthrough Season
The Atlanta Falcons continued their busy offseason after agreeing to a three-year,$54 million extension with star tight end Kyle Pitts.
The new deal includes $36 million in fully guaranteed compensation, while his $18 million average annual salary over the duration of the contract is the third-highest at his position. It only trails San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle ($19.1 million) and Arizona Cardinals’ Trey McBride ($19 million).
Pitts has firmly established himself as a foundational piece of the Falcons’ offensive core. He’s coming off a strong 2025 campaign that saw him record 88 catches for 928 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He ranks second among tight ends in catches and receiving yards.
The 25-year-old strong season included him posting 11 receptions for 166 receiving yards and three touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, making him the first tight end in league history to notch at least 150 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a game since Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe in 1996.

Since entering the league, Pitts has routinely generated significant hype and praise for his talent, but it has never materialized into consistent, stellar production. However, the 2025 season could be the breakthrough that he needs to reach the lofty expectations for him to become one of the game’s top tight ends.
He certainly could see more opportunities to shine in 2026, especially in new head coach Kevin Stefanski’s offensive scheme that may see him put forth a career-best campaign. Time will tell, but the groundwork is there for Pitts to take his play to the next level.
