Atlanta Falcons should strongly consider moving back in NFL Draft
The Atlanta Falcons have little cap space and are coming off a 7-9 season.
Julio Jones and Matt Ryan, while still very productive, are aging. The Atlanta Falcons need to improve without many resources, while also likely losing two-time Pro Bowl tight end Austin Hooper to free agency.
The answer to their problems starts with moving back in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.

General manager Thomas Dimitroff should be considering moving back a few times, especially with his first-round choice. Atlanta has holes to fill in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and with this class being especially deep, it can satisfy more needs with a bevy of picks, even if they come later on.
On 92.9 The Game, Dimitroff talked about what the Falcons might do come April 23, via NFL.com:
“I think there’s going to be a lot of really interesting action between (picks) 10 and 20.And again, I would never count us out because again we’re a team that has been active (in past drafts).
“That said, it is one of those draft situations where, given some of the depth in some of these positions, it does set up the opportunity to potentially move back. And you know, as long as I’ve been here, we’ve not been a real active team moving back. But again, this year may be one of those years that you could truly look at that and obviously acquire a couple more picks in different parts in the draft to use up to pair together to get up, of course, in another round.”
Atlanta currently owns the 16th-overall selection. The Falcons could be in prime real estate for a quarterback such as Jordan Love or Jacob Eason. Should a team from the mid-to-late 20s want to move up, the Falcons could snag quite a haul and then turn those picks into a multitude of talented youngsters with the right decisions.

Considering they are capped out, the Falcons have to consider all options. Dimitroff talking about moving up is foolish, especially considering Atlanta has far more needs than one player.
If the Falcons are going to get back in the NFC South race this year with the New Orleans Saints, it starts with making a few low-key signings in free agency and then nailing the draft. The easiest way to accomplish the latter is by acquiring more lottery tickets.
