Giants star Saquon Barkley doesn’t have an answer on when he’ll return
Since tearing his ACL in Week 2 of the 2020 season, New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley remains fixated toward returning this upcoming campaign.
Barkley continues to push work through the offseason without any setbacks, begging the question concerning when he will return to the field. The 2018 Rookie of the Year voiced that he has no clue when he will play his first game.

“I’ve been asked a lot. I guess that’s what the theme of this summer is gonna be, when I’ll be back. But no, I don’t have an answer, to be honest,” Barkley said, via Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post. “I’m not trying to lead it up to it, stuff like that or blow something up. I don’t have an answer. It’s a fun process, but it’s a tough process at the same time. So I’m excited to continue to listen to my body, listen to the trainers, listen to the coaches, and just take it day by day.”

Barkley also voiced that his knee “feels pretty good,” but he doesn’t know if he will participate when training camp starts again. The Giants are taking the precautionary approach with the star running back, especially after surgery to repair a serious injury.
When healthy, Barkley is one of the game’s best running backs. The 24-year-old also needs to have a strong 2020 campaign as a strong showing this season will help him earn a lucrative deal. He’s currently under contract through the 2022 season after New York picked his fifth-year option.
