Jaguars’ Jalen Ramsey’s Super Bowl guarantee irks Patriots’ Adam Butler
Jacksonville Jaguars star Jalen Ramsey made a bold statement after they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs last weekend. The up-and-comer guaranteed a Super Bowl victory even before taking on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.
Although initially, Patriots players didn’t respond to Ramsey’s comments, Adam Butler has decided to address it. Butler feels as though he better live up to the claim with the team’s battle with the Jaguars only a few days away, via ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
“If you’re going to make a statement like that, you better be able to back it up,” Patriots defensive tackle Adam Butler said Wednesday.
With the Patriots currently heavy favorites to beat the Jaguars in convincing fashion on Sunday, Ramsey’s comments are bold, to say the least. Butler also said the following about Ramsey, via Cimini.
“It’s a bold statement to make,” Butler added. “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. But like I said, be humble or be humbled. That’s all I can really say about that.”
NFL Offer
Ramsey has made this AFC Championship Game a little more interesting for both sides as well as the fans. Although the Patriots are favored to advance and for good reason considering their history, Jaguars played spoiler for the Pittsburgh Steelers and may be able to give the defending champions a run for their money on Sunday.
Along with all the intrigue added to this matchup of AFC heavyweights, Tom Brady is dealing with a hand injury that might help tilt the scales for Jacksonville. Needless to say, it could be interesting what takes place in New England this weekend.
