Mike Tomlin reacts to Steelers fans asking for him to be fired

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off another discouraging loss, falling 26-7 to the Buffalo Bills.

The porous performance led Steelers fans at Heinz Field on Sunday afternoon to voice their displeasure with the team. Head coach Mike Tomlin sat in agreement with the fan base, stating he felt the boos toward his squad were warranted.

“In general, I agree with them, from this perspective: Football is our game, we’re in a sport entertainment business,” Tomlin said Tuesday via ESPN. “And so if you root for the Steelers, entertaining them is winning. And so when you’re not winning, it’s not entertaining.”

Since storming out of the game to a 4-1 record to start the season, the Steelers have plummeted out of first place in the AFC North to being out of the playoff picture entirely.

On top of that, quarterback Aaron Rodgers is working through a fractured left wrist, which is significantly impacting his performance. Rodgers completed 10 of 21 passes for 117 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, and a 65.0 passer rating against the Bills.

Pittsburgh has dropped five of its last seven games, which puts the Baltimore Ravens in the division lead heading into Week 14 against them. Ravens are coming off a disappointing Thanksgiving Day loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, they have been on an upward trend, winning five of their last six games despite star quarterback Lamar Jackson clearly not being 100 percent healthy.

If the Steelers hope to save their playoff hopes, they will need to rebound against the Ravens on Sunday.
